QC Lab Technician I

Description

  • Perform in-process sample testing, classification/disposition testing of finished product, and non-routine exploratory analyses through physical testing and instrumental analysis, utilizing the following processes/instrumentation:

    • High Intensity Blending
    • HDT/Vica
    • GC
    • FTIR
    • XRF


  • Other typical laboratory instrumentation related to polymer-specific testing (e.g. Viscometer, Particle Size Analyzer, analytical balances, pH)
  • Assists in performing analytical method validation/qualifications
  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory instrumentation deemed QC critical
  • Maintain QC Laboratory systems in alignment with ISO compliance
  • Assure proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste generated while performing laboratory activities
  • Complete all required personnel training, qualification assessments, and safety procedure sign-offs
  • Sample and data management via computerized systems (i.e. LIMS, instrumentation software suites, etc.)
  • Track standards and solvents, disposable supplies/consumables, and laboratory equipment
  • Ensure timely sample testing turnaround
  • Issue safe work permits for completion of work
  • Perform investigations into laboratory deviations and OOSs
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
