Salary Range Starting At: $10.00/ per hour Job Description: To provide needed supervision and monitoring of warming center guests and program. The center will operate during cold winter months pertaining to the degree agreement when shelter will be opened. Responsible for the general management of the program. Warming Center assistants insures a safe, secure, comfortable, and supportive environment in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and procedures of a low barrier approach to care for homeless individuals. The Warming Center program will be provided at the Salvation Army Madison, IN location. What You Will Do:
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High School Diploma preferred but not required Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed. Experience: Must have at least some experience working with unhoused individuals Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training before employment begins.
