Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). * 5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineering or DevOps role. * Significant experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS). * Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, preferably AWS CloudFormation and CDK. * Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes, ideally with Amazon EKS. * Strong understanding and practical experience with GitOps methodologies and tools, particularly Flux CD. * Experience implementing and utilizing observability platforms, with preference for Splunk Observability Cloud (or similar tools like Datadog, New Relic). * Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like GitHub Actions. * Experience troubleshooting applications running in various AWS services (EKS, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda). * Familiarity with CDN and WAF solutions, with knowledge of Akamai being a significant advantage. * Strong understanding of networking principles and security best practices in a cloud environment. * Experience with scalable architectures, cloud platforms, and transactional applications. * Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on impact-driven decision-making. Soft Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. * Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams. * Ability to create and maintain clear and concise infrastructure and architecture diagrams (e.g., using tools like Lucidchart, draw.io). * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Self-motivated and able to work independently. * A proactive and continuous learning mindset. Bonus Points: * AWS Certifications (e.g., Certified Developer - Associate, Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional). * Experience with other containerization technologies (e.g., Docker). * Experience with other GitOps tools. * Contributions to open-source projects. * Experience with security scanning and vulnerability management tools. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Hollywood, FL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
