What to Expect We're seeking a talented Plumbing Designer to join our Factory Engineering team in Austin, TX, and contribute to the development of our revolutionary Texas Gigafactory. What You'll Do Develop plumbing system design drawings and fabrication drawings utilizing Revit MEP fabrication, Revizto, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and AutoCAD Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) or single line diagrams Present 2D and 3D designs at cross-discipline coordination meetings Review drawing package submittals for technical and aesthetic accuracy Understand the fundamentals of water distribution, sanitary and vent system, storm system, and natural gas system preferred Respond to field Request for Information (RFIs) and do construction administration to support construction What You'll Bring 3+ years of Revit MEP fabrication experience with understanding of fabrication part database, Process, Mechanical, and plumbing design with evidence of exceptional ability Proof of knowledge in creating Spool drawings Proven experience delivering plumbing engineering services from conceptual design through construction administration Strong proficiency in 3D BIM design tools, particularly Revit MEP; experience with Revit MEP fabrication and spool drawing production preferred Proficient in using Revit MEP Fabrication, AutoCAD, Revizto, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Experience as a detailed designer or drafter in plumbing system design, mechanical piping design, process piping design, process improvement, and BIM Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
