Job Summary

ABOUT THE JOB


We're seeking a proactive and organized Maintenance Coordinator to lead the coordination and execution of maintenance activities at our plant. This role plays a key part in ensuring that equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably through structured planning, team leadership, and performance monitoring. You'll collaborate closely with maintenance and operational teams to deliver exceptional results.


Job Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO


As a Maintenance Coordinator at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include:



  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety standards in accordance with CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA regulations.
  • Daily Program Coordination: Receive daily work programs and assign tasks to appropriate team members to ensure maintenance objectives are met.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and guide the maintenance team while resolving issues and ensuring adherence to plant policies and procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish performance goals, oversee work quality and safety, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Supervise the implementation of maintenance plans, monitor equipment conditions, and minimize downtime during repairs.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Report maintenance activities, support planning meetings, and document hazards and safety observations.
  • Support: Assist the maintenance planner and provide emergency support to avoid equipment interruptions.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

5 years of experience in heavy industrial/heavy manufacturing

WORKING CONDITIONS



  • Safety First: Wearing protective equipment and adhering to safety protocols is a must.
  • Dynamic Environment: Work in outdoor and indoor environments, with exposure to physical labor and harsh conditions (extreme heat, humidity, extreme cold, noise, dust).
  • Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently), climbing, walking, pushing, pulling, standing, and operating tools and equipment in physically intense settings. Must be physically able to perform all essential job functions, including the ability to communicate verbally using a phone and radio, to hear verbal commands and audible alarms in order to safely operate around large mobile equipment and automatic conveyor belt systems. Must be able to pass a physical exam to include back x-ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test and drug / alcohol screen.
  • Work Schedule: Employees are expected to work varying shifts as needed, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
  • Work Location: This position is required to be performed in person at the assigned worksite. Remote work is not available for this role.

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $67800 to $86400 depending on, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skill sets, experience, and education
