Shift: 3rd Shift 11PM - 7AM (hourly non-exempt)

Rate: $19.50 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Checks glass on glass check fixture to ensure proper specs on all measurable items.
* Checks all visual items such as surface, edgework, and size for proper specifications.
* Required to inspect glass for any defects and to pack glass according to packaging guidelines.
* Required to rework glass, if necessary.
* Plan for and address daily production needs.
* Collects data for Quality Assurance.
* Responsible for keeping general work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
* Performs miscellaneous and related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

* Must possess knowledge of glass handling techniques
* Requires ability to interpret customer specifications for packing glass and box / pallet configurations
* Must possess knowledge of box and pallet assembly procedures
* Requires knowledge of QC procedures, glass handling techniques, customer specs, and complete knowledge of glass defects.
* Must demonstrate capability to navigate STARS

Education / Experience:

* High School Diploma / GED, required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, SAFETY and WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Performs duties within normal manufacturing environmental conditions.
2. Will work in warm and cold conditions.
3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
4. Must follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
5. Must follow all PPE requirements.

What We Need From You:

• Ability to work Holidays, Weekends and Overtime
• Good attendance is important to our team Vitro. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a history of good attendance and who welcome overtime
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and oral
• Ability to pass the Pre-employment background check & drug screen test
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and self-management skills
• Required: Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Required: Must be 18 years of age or older
