Custodian Part-Time

Location: Great Falls, Montana, Malmstrom Airforce Base

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Part-Time, Mon - Fri, 16-20 hours p/week, (hours vary)

Compensation: $17.75 - $17.75/hour, an additional $5.09/hour cash payout is offered with qualifying health insurance.

Part-Time (less than 25 hours) benefits of a Custodian Part-Time at Tessera include:

  • Employees who are reasonably expected to work fewer than 25 hours per week at the time of hire will be eligible for the employee assistance program and may contribute to a retirement plan. Eligibility for medical insurance will be assessed in accordance with the Affordable Care Act.

Tessera is seeking a Hardworking and Motivated Part-Time Custodian with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Follow all industrial safety guidelines, apply required safety training, and actively promote a safe and compliant workplace at all worksites.

  • Communicate with customers in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner at all times.

  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies in accordance with contract standards and cross-contamination procedures.

  • Sweep, wet mop, dry mop, vacuum, and dust offices, hallways, high-traffic areas, door entries, stairwells, and building entrances and exits according to established schedules and contract requirements.

  • Collect and remove trash and recyclables from lunchrooms, break areas, restrooms, shower and locker areas, and office spaces in compliance with contract standards and schedules.

  • Restock janitorial and restroom supplies daily to ensure adequate availability.

  • Clean and maintain all shower stalls, damp wipe surfaces to remove dust, restock supplies, and mop floors while following cross-contamination procedures.

  • Maintain janitorial lockers (J-lockers) by practicing proper housekeeping in compliance with EM 385-1-1, including daily cleaning, organization, and equipment care.

  • Clean, rinse, and properly store all janitorial equipment after each use.

  • Operate wet and dry vacuums in assigned areas according to established schedules and procedures.

  • Secure and lock all doors after completing cleaning tasks.

  • *All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • 0 - 3 years of previous custodian or janitorial experience preferred

  • Combination of experience and education will be considered

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
