Warehouse Supervisor

Whippany Actuation Systems, a fast-paced and innovative aerospace manufacturer specializing in electromechanical actuators for both commercial and military applications, is seeking a driven hands-on leader to join our operations team as our new Warehouse Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, stockroom management, and inventory control. They will ensure products are received, stored, and delivered in an accurate, efficient manner, while coordinating logistical processes and preparing relevant documentation. To be successful in this role, one must be able to understand complex operations, optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs and focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you would typically:



  • Supervise warehouse staff, delegate daily work, and ensure smooth workflow to meet operational priorities.
  • Receive incoming vendor materials and process outgoing shipments, including domestic and international orders.
  • Coordinate with Sales and internal teams on carrier selection, routing, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, oversee cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Cross-train and allocate resources to meet customer delivery requirements efficiently.
  • Process customer warranty returns and coordinate documentation with the appropriate departments.
  • Order and manage warehouse supplies and consumables, ensuring alignment with budget guidelines.
  • Monitor warehouse performance, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Lead adherence to safety, quality, housekeeping, and regulatory requirements, proactively addressing unsafe conditions.
  • Support coordination of engineering deliverables as needed to ensure project timelines are met.



We require:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or High School Diploma with 4 additional years' relevant experience)
  • 5 years' warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.
  • 2 years' supervisory or leadership experience
  • Authorization to work in the US



Eligibility Requirements:

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Whippany Actuation Systems will require proof of status before employment.

We would really like to see:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Materials management, inventory control or operations experience which includes ERP or inventory management software utilization.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, administrative, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results through continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bias for action. Ability to recognize problems, drive resolution, and follow through to completion.
  • Results-oriented. Drives to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.



Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85,000 to $100,000 per year. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position."
