Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IC Validation Engineer to lead post-silicon testing of next generation edge computing SoCs and foundational IP. This position is hardware, software, and lab analysis oriented. The candidate will actively participate in data collection and analysis, develop validation plans and reports, and drive for silicon quality throughout the product development cycle. Additional responsibilities include assisting junior engineers in data collection and debug activities, and spearheading process improvements. The candidate must be a team player, self-motivated, possess good communication skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment across international sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional and characterization testing of post-silicon SoCs for high-performance AI and machine learning solutions.

  • Skilled use of standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, and other measurement instruments.

  • Develop validation test plans, perform data analysis, and generate validation reports for both analog and digital macros.

  • Work independently and provide technical direction for junior team members.

  • Bring up validation test boards, bench setups, and independently collect data and debug issues.

  • Direct and/or make necessary changes to hardware boards and test setups to correct issues quickly and minimize the validation cycle time.

  • Extensive experience in post silicon validation, able to automate the validation process to reduce the overall validation cycle time.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience in post-silicon validation of mixed signal SOCs.

  • Broad experience validating both analog and digital circuits, good knowledge of microcontroller architecture.

  • Solid understanding of SOC infrastructure involving Power-Management, clock distribution, and emulation.

  • Excellent engineering documentation skills, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated team player who can work with various cross-functional groups across different sites.

  • Experience with a standard scripting language -Python/Perl/TCL/etc.

  • Experience in LabView and TestStand.

  • Well organized, methodical, and detail oriented.

  • Experience using emulation platforms to accelerate silicon validation a plus.

  • BSEE/BSCE minimum, MSEE/MSCE preferred from an accredited engineering school.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $91,000 - $232,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
