Job Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant for Touring is to support the touring segment and assist in all financial aspects. The Staff Accountant (Touring) will work closely with the Chicago Finance team to assist in budgeting, show costing of events, and ensuring the accuracy of tour reporting.

Primary Job Responsibilities:



  • Cost Coding & Analysis: Accurately code and track show-related costs for tours across the U.S. and Canada
  • Revenue Recording & Settlement Review: Record and review ticket revenue based on venue settlements, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Tour Financial Tracking: Track and analyze actual expenses versus budgeted costs for touring shows in accordance with agreed terms
  • Venue Cost Management: Review venue costs, obtain all settlement costs, and reconcile against financial agreements
  • Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile tour float cash and report variances
  • Business Plan Support: Assist in preparing financial offers and business plans for prospective artists and tours in the U.S. and Canada
  • Additional Duties: Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance & Accounting


Requirements:



  • Bachelors degreein accounting or at least 2+ years of related experience (required)
  • Bilingual verbal and written Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically a high understanding of Excel
  • Advanced level of knowledge with general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • General understanding of best practice accounting principles
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and organize tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a confident/assertive demeanor


Travel:



  • Available to travel 5% 10% with or without advance notice as required to meet client needs (if applicable)


Payscale: $65,000-$75,000

Bonus:This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
