The Technical Writer will play a key role in developing and maintaining clear, accurate, and visually engaging documentation that supports retail banking operations. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts across departments to ensure content aligns with regulatory standards, internal policies, and operational procedures.

Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Develop and update documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and policies across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and standardize technical and operational content.
  • Create visually engaging materials using tools like PowerPoint, Adobe, and Microsoft Word.
  • Research and revise policies and procedures in coordination with internal and external sources; present recommendations to management.
  • Identify and resolve issues during document review and approval processes.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all documentation.
  • Audit site materials for format and content alignment.
  • Maintain and update documents to reflect current practices.
  • Simplify complex banking concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Support internal communications with professional layouts and visuals.
  • Manage controlled documents and version tracking.

Requirements
Required Skills:


  • Exceptional writing skills with demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex banking concepts into accessible language while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Skilled in editing for grammar, tone, consistency, and formatting across various document types.
  • Technical writing, procedure documentation, and user-friendly content creation.
  • Solid grasp of banking operations, terminology, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts into clear, process-driven materials.
  • Skilled in multitasking, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with banking practices and procedures.
  • Capable of identifying issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with management.
  • Able to interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and data interpretation.
  • Comfortable working with abstract concepts and technical instructions.


Required Experience:


  • High School Diploma or GED, Minimum of 3 years prior Retail Banking experience, demonstrated advanced writing skills.


Preferred Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Technical Writing Certification.
