Senior Compensation Analyst (Contract)

for a corporate client in [Remote - U.S. Based]

Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst (Contract) to support enterprise-wide compensation initiatives during a period of increased workload and project activity. This role partners closely with Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and broader People teams to deliver accurate market pricing, equity administration support, and compensation process execution.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, Excel-savvy, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, discretion with sensitive data, and a willingness to take ownership of evolving priorities.




  • Maintain and update compensation tools used for offer strategy, internal adjustments, and compensation consulting



  • Support annual and mid-year compensation review cycles, including salary planning and modeling



  • Conduct market pricing and job matching; prepare and submit compensation surveys



  • Assist with equity administration, including audits and preparation of grant files



  • Pull and analyze compensation-related reports from HR systems



  • Maintain compensation structures and ranges within HR systems and support job governance initiatives



  • Respond to compensation-related inquiries through internal ticketing systems



  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and documentation of compensation processes



  • Support change management efforts, including training and communications, for major compensation initiatives



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field



  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or a closely related field



  • Intermediate Excel proficiency (required) with heavy spreadsheet usage



  • Experience with compensation survey submissions (Aon/Radford, McLagan, Mercer/Comptryx, ERI preferred)



  • Familiarity with HR systems (Workday experience strongly preferred)



  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills



  • Self-starter mindset with flexibility to take on additional tasks as needed



  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when handling confidential employee data



Interview Process:




  • Initial interview



  • Excel skills assessment may be conducted during the interview process



This is a 6 month, full-time at 40 hours per week. Core working hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with flexibility for candidates working 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The pay for this W-2 position is up to $38.25 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
