Data Center Technician - B Shift (Boydton, VA) PPE Requirements * Hands: Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact-resistant gloves * Feet: Hard-toe work boots covering the ankle and meeting ASTM F-2412 and ASTM F-2413 standards for protective footwear Role Overview As a Data Center Technician, you'll support critical infrastructure operations in a fast-paced environment. This role involves hands-on work with server and network hardware, cabling, and physical audits to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Rack, stack, and cable server, network, and rPDU devices, including cable management * Perform rack/MOR cabling and general supervised deployment support * Decommission IT equipment (servers and network) under Microsoft supervision; DBD removal only * Conduct physical audits of data center assets * Perform basic server repairs following documented procedures * Assist with equipment moves and racking * Maintain a clean data center environment by removing debris and empty boxes * Hard drive shredding and moving locked DBD bins to shred area * Support audit and inventory management and spine clean-up * Monitor and reorder drinks/stationery through CBRE/Staples * Execute rack movement tasks Required Skills * Technician experience with cabling, punch-down, terminations, rack & stack * Familiarity with ticketing systems and data center operations * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures Top Skills * Technician \| Cabling \| Punch-down \| Terminations \| Rack & Stack \| Ticketing \| System Support Additional Qualifications * Looking for driven individuals eager to start on the ground floor and grow within the organization * Intermediate-level experience preferred Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boydton, VA.
