Summary: The Foreman position works in conjunction with the Deck Foreman and Superintendent, other foreman and operations representatives during installation/removal/salvage operations on the derrick barge. This position will provide direct supervision to contract Welders directing the work to ensure safe and efficient completion of projects assigned. The Foreman must observe all safety and security procedures at all times utilizing all equipment/materials properly. They also must be prepared and able to exercise Stop Work Authority for any actions that appear unsafe, and report any potentially unsafe conditions. Job Location: This position is out of Houma, LA. Must be able to work 8 to 12 hour shifts on all types of vessels or marine construction projects working an offshore rotation of 28 days on and 14 days off unless otherwise changed. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. The employee is frequently required use hands and fingers, to grasp, grip, handle, or feel. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures, and be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways and the ability to operate heavy machinery.
