Pay Details

The Trump Kennedy Center strives to design equitable compensation programs. The projected salary range for this position is $125,000 - $135,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This is the targeted range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. This range may be modified in the future. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience as it relates to the position qualifications and responsibilities.

Job Description

This position is responsible for engaging with and managing stakeholders across the organization to improve the Center's operations and deliver high quality HRIS solutions. This position requires hands-on experience in all aspects of HRIS program management. The Senior Manager, HRIS must be proficient in building and leading HR organizational applications and systems such as Benefits, Workforce Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance Management, and Document Management. This position serves as the lead technical point-of-contact for all HR systems inquiries and improvements. This role will be the subject matter expert for the HRIS platform (UKG Pro) and will be responsible for managing the performance platform functionality to elevate achieve total functionality within the system, as well as supporting the HR function by engaging the various HR disciplines in optimizing the HRIS.

Key Responsibilities



  • System Implementation and Upgrades - Overseeing the implementation of new UKG features, updates, and system upgrades, ensuring seamless transition and training for users
  • System Administration - Managing user access, security settings, data integrity, and system configurations within the UKG HRIS platform
  • Data Management - Maintaining accurate employee data, including personal details, employment history, performance reviews, benefits selections, and time and attendance records
  • Reporting and Analytics - Generating reports and dashboards to analyze workforce trends, identify insights, and inform strategic HR decisions
  • Troubleshooting - Identifying and resolving system issues, data discrepancies, and user errors within the UKG HRIS
  • User Training - Providing training and support to HR staff on how to effectively utilize the UKG HRIS system features and functionalities
  • Compliance Management - Ensuring the UKG HRIS system adheres to relevant labor laws and regulations regarding data privacy and security
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders, Union groups/representatives and the HRIS vendor to ensure the Kennedy Center's HRIS systems meet the human capital technology needs of the organization ad it is in compliance with the various CBA's in place.
  • Develops and oversees impact assessment for any changes to HR systems and serves as a subject matter expert for any benefit of payment calculations that may be proposed during CBA negotiations.
  • Oversees and executes configuration, development, and maintenance of HRIS data, services platform, file feeds, applications, and other systems used to manage human resources processes.
  • Manages and supervises HRIS support, configuration, and maintenance, including report building, auditing, researching, and resolving HRIS data issues as they arise.
  • Evaluates, assesses, and implements operational improvements, leveraging automation to enhance the HRIS user experience and organizational productivity, for example through continuous auditing, implementation of a self-service model, file feeds/integrations, and continual training. Oversees maintenance of HR systems security to ensure data confidentiality
  • Provides support with various yearly (fiscal & calendar) tasks including open enrollment, year-end activities and fillings, etc.
  • Leads HR system review and module implementations and upgrades, where applicable. Oversees HR technology advancements and ensures there is effective utilization of HR systems.
  • Oversees auditing and review of HRIS data for compliance. Evaluates and implements systems and vendors to support Center's strategic people priorities.
  • Cultivates and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Cultivates and supports an inclusive and equitable workplace culture
  • Other duties as assigned.


Key Qualifications



  • Experience working with UKGPro and UKG Dimensions (formerly Kronos)
  • Experience with various HR tools: HRIS, Payroll, LMS, ATS
  • Experience managing HR systems
  • Ability to grasp new technologies
  • Strong consultative and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Highest standards for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve, think strategically and objectively
  • Experience working within a unionized environment preferred
  • Candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the DMV area. Relocation assistance is not provided.
  • Candidate must be willing to work onsite.
