Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 (SWE-2) to support the Fort Meade Customer. This role will support application migration and data processing solutions in cloud environments, working closely with mission partners to modernize applications and data workflows while ensuring compliance with customer policies and data handling requirements.

Support application migration into cloud environments, ensuring compatibility with customer data types, protocols, and policies.
• Develop and support cloud-based data solutions, primarily in AWS and Azure environments.
• Design and implement data transformation pre-processors and data flows using Apache NiFi.
• Develop and maintain code and scripts using Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Support deployment and integration of applications using container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts, status, and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience supporting application migration to cloud environments and working with mission or enterprise data systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, with AWS and/or Azure preferred.
• Strong understanding of data flow management and transformation using Apache NiFi.
• Working knowledge of software development and scripting languages, including Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
