As a Production Group Leader, you'll put your leadership skills into action while working with a talented and dedicated workforce. You will supervise the production team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across operations. You'll drive production plans, coach and develop your team, and implement Lean Six Sigma initiatives to continuously improve processes and performance. At Clariant, you'll leverage your leadership experience, grow through development opportunities such as Green Belt certification, and make a real impact in a dynamic, innovative environment. Responsibilities



  • Supervise 10 to 15 production employees on shift. Direct and assign work to successfully execute production plans, while holding them accountable for production. ESHA and quality standards.
  • Create and revise SOPs work instructions, and other documents in Document Control system INTELEX.
  • Document new task training and conduct competency testing for all directs reports.
  • Complete Lean Six Sigma training to achieve Green Belt certification. Lead and support Yellow Belt and 5S events.
  • Work rotating shifts and weekends, acting as leading authority on evening (3PM to 11PM) and midnight shifts (11PM to 7AM).
  • Enter work notifications in SAP and train lead operators on how to enter work notifications in SAP. Work with maintenance to achieve 100% compliance for daily work schedule.
  • Implement changes to increase % UEE or critical equipment. Work with other team members to continuously improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, and increase delivery / goods issue reliability.
  • Complete GEMBA walks and MSHA workplace inspections in production work areas. Enter near misses, safety deviations, or other incident types in Intelex and Dakota to ensure environmental and safety compliance.



Requirements



  • Associate's degree
  • 4 years minimum of supervisory experience (manufacturing, environmental preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Lean Six Sigma training is preferred
  • Open to occasional non-standard shifts as required
