JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy (ISAL) is seeking a Workforce Development Program Consultant responsible for assisting Workforce Development System Liaison Project staff. This role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Developing training for adult education program staff.

  • Developing resources for programs.

  • Contributing to the development of various written and online program deliverables.

  • Other similar tasks that support Division-funded adult education programs in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Workforce Developmentor a related discipline plusone yearof related experience;or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, workforce development, and career pathways.

  • Knowledge in adult education theory and practice and English as a Second Language theory and practice are strongly desired.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to creatively solve problems.

  • Experienceusing Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, and web conferencing tools.

Project Timeline & Compensation:

  • Duration: This is a fixed-term appointment for a maximum of 350 hours to be completed byJune 30, 2026.

  • Compensation: $75 per hour.

  • Work Format: This is a remote, part-time position.
