POSITION SUMMARY The Learning and Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization's talent development strategy. This position designs, facilitates, and evaluates impactful training programs that align with organizational goals, enhance employee skills, and supports a strong corporate culture. Specialists also collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create engaging content, manage training logistics, and ensure the success of programs across multiple locations. This position requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration to deliver training that supports compliance, leadership development, technical skills, onboarding, and cultural initiatives. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES General Responsibilities
- Program Development and Facilitation
- Deliver engaging training programs, virtually and in-person, that supports organizational goals and fosters a positive learning culture.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and update training content, ensuring relevance and alignment with business needs.
- Create and maintain high-quality training materials using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Articulate 360, and other tools.
- Coordination & Support
- Serve as a resource for SME-led programs, assisting with content creation, material updates, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate logistics for training events across multiple locations, ensuring seamless execution and a positive participant experience.
- Collaboration & Special Projects
- Participate in and lead special projects that advance organizational priorities, contributing ideas, and expertise to drive results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute expertise and support innovative initiatives in talent development, process improvement, or organizational culture enhancement.
- Continuous Improvement
- Collect and analyze feedback, assessment data, and participation metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Systems & Knowledge Management Support the Verve Knowledge Base and AI search tool by monitoring flagged content, reviewing question analytics, and coordinating with SMEs to update or create documentation that improves employee access and compliance.
- Maintain accurate training records in the Learning Management System (LMS), including but not limited to attendance updating profiles, and learning paths.
- Professional Development
- Stay current in the learning and development field by engaging in professional communities, and pursuing certification(s) (e.g., ATD).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Content Development or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ability to develop eLearning courses using systems such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, and Replay.
- Experience using project management solutions such as Workfront.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work Environment: Business office, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand at a desk the majority of the workday; talk or hear; stand or walk occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is typically utilizing a computer, keyboard and phone. May occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
