Outreach Research Administrator Neuro-Memory and Aging Full Time 87396BR Job Summary The selected candidate will provide direct support to the principal investigators of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center Community Outreach Program (COP). This individual will be required to perform efficient integration of multiple complex programmatic activities, effectively working with a variety of people and organizations at UCSF (investigators, finance administration, Committee on Human Research - CHR, human resources, contracts and grants) and elsewhere (industry sponsors, coordinating centers, FDA, NIH). This individual will also be part of a leadership team monitoring and resolving key operational aspects of observational studies and outreach and engagement activities in conjunction with local, national, and international project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures and good clinical practice and regulations. In addition, we aim to discover the causes of and develop treatments for these disorders, and to educate each generation of medical students, neurology residents, postdoctoral fellows, and international scholars in the highest quality of clinical care and research. The Community Outreach Program (COP) at the MAC is comprised of a multilingual (English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog) and multicultural team dedicated to improving the quality of health care for vulnerable communities in San Francisco and supporting brain health equity for all communities through brain health education on topics such as cognitive impairment, assessment and management, and the prevention of dementia. All of our services aim to be culturally appropriate and community-informed. We are supported by a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, artists, and research staff with vast experience in neurodegenerative diseases and community engagement. The Community Outreach and Engagement team is building capacity and working closely with community partners to create brain health hubs in several San Francisco neighborhoods that will allow us to have a steady presence in the community while we work towards mitigating brain health disparities.
