DOCUMENTS BEING UPLOADED MUST BE LESS THAN 5 MB About the Role BWBR is seeking a Data & Research Analyst to support a firm-wide initiative integrating data analytics and design research into our architectural and interior design services. This role helps translate data and evidence-based research into actionable insights that inform design strategy, client decision-making, and organizational performance. Working closely with the Data & Information Services Director, project teams and firm leadership, the Analyst will contribute to analytics, visualization, and research efforts that support clients before, during, and after design and construction - at the intersection of people, process, and place. BWBR is a 170+ person, full-service architecture and interior design firm serving healthcare, education, science and technology, behavioral health, corporate, civic, and community markets. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Data Analytics & Visualization * Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, PowerBI) for client-facing and internal use. * Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling visual narratives that support strategic, operational, financial, and facility-based insights. * Clean, validate, and analyze data, identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues. * Forecast and model trends to inform design strategy and client decision-making. * Support proposals, reports, and presentations through data-driven insights. * Contribute to firm-wide data strategy, governance standards, and best practices in collaboration with the Data & Information Services Director. * Assist with creation and troubleshooting data workflows and ETL updates to data warehouse as needed. Design Research * Support evidence-based design (EBD) and research initiatives using quantitative and qualitative methods. * Assist with survey design, data collection, and analysis for pre- and post-occupancy evaluations (POEs) to assess whether design intent is achieving desired outcomes. * Analyze and synthesize project data to help demonstrate design effectiveness and inform future planning and design decisions. * Translate research and performance findings into clear narratives for clients, publications, and internal knowledge-sharing. Experience: * 5+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization, or applied research (architecture, design, planning, or adjacent industries preferred). * Demonstrated experience supporting projects independently while collaborating across teams. Technical Skill: * Advanced proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI or similar visualization tools. * Working proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or R for data analysis. * Strong understanding of data systems, data flows, and analytics workflows. * Experience applying statistical concepts such as correlation, regression, and descriptive statistics. Abilities & Traits: * Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. * Ability to translate data and research into insights accessible to non-technical audiences. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Sound judgement and ability to prioritize high-impact work. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple priorities. * Commitment to data security, integrity, and client confidentiality.
