Ecolab is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Inside Sales Specialist for our emerging Inside Sales team. The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for selling total plant solutions (products, equipment & services) directly into an assigned geographic territory. These solutions include consumable chemistries for cleaning/sanitation/disinfection, novel monitoring system technologies for performance optimization, and various modes of site-assessment and training that drive compliance/conformance/consistency. As the Inside Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support for new and existing customers across target markets. This is a consultative role that requires a high curiosity quotient coupled with a competitive drive for mutual success. As both an engine of growth for Ecolab and a Voice-of-the-Customer, you will be a key liaison between our Life Science team and the markets we serve. What You Will Do:
- Drive Sales, both independently and collaboratively, by increasing market-share at existing accounts and by prospecting within your territory for new business opportunities.
- Demonstrate sales competency by identifying opportunities to cross sell other complementary products and services
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business development activities/strategies for assigned sales territory.
- Utilizing business intelligence platforms, territory reports, and market updates on business development initiatives in order to target prospects
- Utilize designated CRM to track customer interactions, sales activities, opportunity stage and lead-capture initiatives.
- Interact with Quality and technical teams to support product knowledge and clear understanding of customer challenges
- Provide critical client feedback (Voice-of-Customer) to Marketing, Technical and Product Development Teams
- Develop knowledge and thorough understanding of all products & services and apply knowledge to provide appropriate recommendations/solutions that meets the customer's specific business needs.
- Follow up on all inbound client inquiries in timely manner to expedite challenge resolution and uncover new and expanding opportunities
- Ensure client retention via responsive and proactive account management support
- Provide monthly business report for North American Team
- Manage and keep record of Technical Service & Field Support Requests
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or related
- 2 years of experience working in the Life Sciences industry
- Proven sales track record
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or cleanroom operations AND thorough knowledge and understanding of the Life Science industry.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $55,700-$83,700. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
