Department Overview

The goal of Corporate Communications is to most appropriately communicate our company's philosophy and new ideas. This is done by enhancing our corporate image and supporting our company's goals. This "creative arm" is responsible for many internal and external publications, web development and design, video productions, displays and special events.

Primary Responsibilities

The Media Specialist is responsible for the research, development, and execution of new and existing communications practices to ensure effective and consistent messaging, both internally and externally, in support of a positive brand image. All efforts must support our corporate strategy, supporting objectives and corporate values. The incumbent works independently, or with key internal and external business partners, to develop compelling written, video, digital and web-based communications in an accurate, timely, clear and consistent method.

Summary of Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Telecommunications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • 2 years of experience in a communications and production environment with emphasis on video, digital and presentation production
  • Experience with audio/visual editing software, such as Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Adobe Premier and, etc. within the Communications, Journalism, Video Production or similar field
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Experience prioritizing multiple tasks while utilizing strong time management skills
  • Experience in a position requiring close attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word
  • A portfolio or demo reel should demonstrate examples of videos, writing, visual compilation, web and PC based presentations
  • Demonstrated experience working on special projects preferred
  • Two years or more of on-air broadcast experience preferred
Work Location

The work schedule for this position will be full time onsite.
