Job Overview

We are seeking a Systems Test Tools and Lab Support Technician to support engineering teams in the development and validation of advanced medical systems. This onsite role plays a critical part in maintaining test tools, lab infrastructure, and software environments to ensure reliable, uninterrupted testing operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting engineering labs, maintaining test equipment, and assisting with system-level testing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Tool Availability & Lab Maintenance



  • Ensure all Systems Evaluation Lab tools and equipment are fully operational and available at all times
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab hardware and software
  • Maintain accurate inventory, calibration, and asset tracking records for lab equipment


Software & Test Tools Management



  • Install, configure, maintain, and update software tools used for system testing
  • Monitor tool performance and apply patches, upgrades, and fixes as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new testing tools, utilities, and frameworks


Testing & Engineering Support



  • Assist engineers with test execution, system validation, and verification activities
  • Prepare and configure test environments to support development and testing needs
  • Document test results, track issues, and report findings in a timely manner


Process, Quality & Compliance



  • Follow established lab procedures, testing protocols, and maintenance standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality systems, and internal procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for lab operations, tooling, and processes



Required Qualifications



  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 2+ years of experience supporting engineering labs, test tools, or system-level testing
  • Working knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, including:


    • Windows-based systems
    • Mobile platforms (Android and iOS)


  • Experience with Python scripting for basic automation, data handling, or tool support
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in medical device testing or other regulated environments
  • Familiarity with automated test tools and scripting languages
  • Understanding of design controls and traceability requirements
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and calibration
