POSITION PURPOSE:

The Tax Technology Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining tax technology systems and improving processes through automation and data analytics. Collaborates across the tax function to identify needs, implement solutions, and train users. Partners internally and externally to drive innovative tax technology initiatives. Supports federal and state compliance, audits, provisions, and assists with tax modeling and planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

Tax Technology & Process Improvement



  • Maintain and optimize tax technology systems (ETL processes, RPA, Corptax, Onesource).
  • Document, analyze, and recommend improvements for end-to-end tax processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay current on new technology developments and tax reporting requirements.


Data Management & Reporting



  • Query, extract, and summarize data from multiple systems for tax positions and workpapers.
  • Standardize routine reporting to meet tax data requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to improve data flow and system integrations.


Training & Support



  • Train and support end users on tax technology tools and processes.


Tax Compliance & Analysis



  • Support federal and state tax compliance, income tax provisions, and practical tax rate calculations.
  • Analyze financial data and reconcile with financial statements.
  • Assist with tax planning, modeling, and research for transactions.


Audit Support



  • Provide data and validation for audits and inquiries from financial audit teams and taxing authorities.


Education and Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in corporate tax (public accounting or private industry).
  • Technical Skills:


    • Core tax systems (Corptax, Onesource Tax Provision).
    • Familiarity with ETL tools, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), BI tools, Data Visualization, and RPA.
    • Proficiency in MS Suite; Hyperion preferred.


  • Expertise: Demonstrated experience in tax process improvement and data analysis for efficiency.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, business savvy, high integrity, strong team player, with excellent research and analytical abilities.

Pay Range:75,450.80-104,548.40
