Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: Security Specialist. Location: Washington, DC. Job Description:
  • The purpose of the Security Specialist position is to evaluate, implement, maintain, and monitor IT security measures across applications implemented by the "AI Pod".
Scope of work:
  • Assists with providing security support for the application and their environment.
  • Reviews compliance with applicable security regulations, directives and policies.
  • Confirms application set up adheres to client's and AFS security policies.
  • Support in obtaining Authority to Operate.
  • Supports application team with Authorization and Penetration test remediation.
  • Assists with PO&AM tracking and remediation.
  • Reviews Interconnection Security Agreements and Interface Control Documents.
Qualification And Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications. Three (3) to Four (4) years of directly related experience.
  • Three (3) years of advanced computer expertise.
  • Three (3) years of IT network security knowledge and implementation experience (e.g. firewalls, secure topologies/architectures, SIEM Tools, intrusion detection, Microsoft and UNIX OS security).
  • Three (3) years of experience with MS Office Professional tools suite, security incident/forensics, and system administration for Unix and/or Microsoft operating systems. Experience with system baseline configurations.
  • Knowledge of IT security policy and standards development and POA&M tracking and remediation.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with Websense configuration/maintenance, security information/event manager configuration, anti-malware tools, Point firewall, wireless network security testing, and Federal Security regulations.
  • Results-Driven, Communicates Openly and Effectively, Applies Customer Lens, Forward Looking, Fosters Collaboration, Thinks Critically, Develops Self and Others and Embraces Innovation and Change.
  • CISSP, CISM, CCNP, MCSE and/or CISA certification preferred.
