Description MaineHealth's Department of Surgery is seeking a pediatric ophthalmologist to join a well-established pediatric ophthalmology practice in Portland, Maine. The pediatric ophthalmologist is employed by MaineHealth, but the practice is currently located within a private multispecialty ophthalmology practice in Portland, close to MaineHealth's flagship hospital, Maine Medical Center. NICU screenings and inpatient consultations are provided at Maine Medical Center and outpatient surgeries are performed at a nearby satellite 10 room multi-specialty ASC in Scarborough, ME. MaineHealth is looking for an applicant who will be the future of this practice as the current ophthalmologist prepares to retire at the end of 2028. Ideal start time would be August 2027.
