Overview

Join Con Edison as a System Manager leading our AI Product Management function within the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization. Your role will be crucial in driving end-to-end product delivery for AI solutions across a significant portfolio of initiatives, leading a team of product managers and ensuring AI investments translate into measurable business value. The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team is driving Con Edison's evolution into a data-driven, AI-enabled utility. To ensure that the ED&A team can continue to meet business needs in this space, we're searching for a highly qualified Manager of AI Product Management to work closely with our leadership team, delivery partners and business stakeholders. Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of product managers responsible for AI solution delivery across the enterprise portfolio
  • Own end-to-end product requirements documentation including PRDs, NFRs, and acceptance criteria for AI initiatives
  • Manage across multiple delivery teams and workstreams, holding vendors and internal teams accountable within agile frameworks
  • Drive product prioritization and backlog management, balancing business value, technical feasibility and resource constraints
  • Lead product demos, sprint reviews, and stakeholder showcases to communicate progress and gather feedback
  • Own product lifecycle management for AI solutions from discovery through deployment and ongoing optimization
  • Establish and enforce product management standards, templates and best practices across the AI portfolio
  • Partner with business relationship managers to translate business needs into well-defined product requirements
  • Partner with transformation strategy to ensure product designs are incorporated into delivery requirements
  • Collaborate with platform and data operations teams to ensure technical feasibility and platform alignment
  • Drive user acceptance testing and ensure AI products meet quality standards before production release
  • Monitor product performance post-deployment and drive continuous improvement based on user feedback and metrics
  • Manage contractor performance, providing direction, feedback and ensuring alignment to delivery expectations
  • Foster collaboration between product, engineering, data science and business teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Champion a proactive, customer-centric culture that builds trust, enhances engagement and creates value for stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree and a minimum of 7 years full-time relevant work experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years full-time relevant work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related business or technology aligned field and a minimum of 7 years full-time relevant work experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related business or technology aligned field and a minimum of 9 years full-time relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 years in leadership roles overseeing AI/ML, data & analytics, or digital transformation programs, required
  • Demonstrated experience in product management for data, analytics, or AI/ML solutions, required
  • Proven experience managing product managers or leading cross-functional product teams, required
  • Experience managing across multiple concurrent delivery streams and vendor teams, required
  • Track record of delivering enterprise-scale technology products from concept through deployment, required
  • Experience with agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, required
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience, required
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives, required
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and data platforms, required
  • Ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable delivery plans, required
  • Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams, required
  • Familiarity with utilities, energy, or regulated industries, preferred

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
