Your role will be crucial in architecting large-scale transformation visions for business units, driving discovery and design for AI solutions, and ensuring AI initiatives deliver measurable enterprise value. The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team is driving Con Edison's evolution into a data-driven, AI-enabled utility. To ensure that the ED&A team can continue to meet business needs in this space, we're searching for a highly qualified Manager of AI Business Transformation to work closely with our leadership team and business stakeholders. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for transformation strategy, including direct staff and strategic partner engagements
- Architect large-scale transformation visions for each business unit, identifying opportunities for wholesale business process redesign enabled by AI
- Lead outside-in benchmarking efforts to identify industry best practices, emerging capabilities, and strategic opportunities for AI-enabled transformation
- Drive business process mapping to document current state operations, identify automation and AI opportunities, and inform use case prioritization
- Lead customer and user journey mapping to understand stakeholder pain points and ensure AI solutions deliver intuitive end-to-end experiences
- Drive product design standards for AI solutions, ensuring user-centered design principles are embedded from discovery through deployment
- Develop high-level sequencing and sorting of use cases into cohesive program families with clear interdependency mapping
- Implement and manage the value framework for AI investments, including business case development, benefits tracking, and ROI measurement
- Lead enterprise change management for AI adoption, including organizational readiness assessment, capability building, and resistance management
- Partner with business units to develop transformation roadmaps that align AI capabilities with strategic business objectives
- Conduct impact assessments to understand how AI solutions will affect existing processes, roles, and organizational structures
- Manage strategic partner relationships, scoping engagements, and ensuring quality delivery from external consultants
- Develop and deliver executive communications on transformation progress, value realization, and strategic recommendations
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment on transformation priorities and sequencing across the AI portfolio
- Monitor and report on transformation outcomes, identifying lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Foster collaboration between transformation, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of change initiatives
- Champion a proactive, customer-centric culture that builds trust, enhances engagement, and creates value for stakeholders
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree and a minimum of 7 years full-time relevant work experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years full-time relevant work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related business or technology aligned field and a minimum of 7 years full-time relevant work experience or
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related business or technology aligned field and a minimum of 9 years full-time relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading business transformation or change management initiatives, required
- Proven experience with business process mapping, reengineering, or operational improvement, required
- Experience with user experience design, journey mapping, or product design methodologies, required
- Experience developing roadmaps and value realization frameworks, required
- Track record of driving measurable business outcomes through technology-enabled change, required
- Experience with executive-level stakeholder management and strategic communications, required
- Experience managing consulting firm engagements and strategic partnerships, required
- Demonstrated ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, and technologies, required
- Proven experience in budget and procurement management, required
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives, required
- Experience with AI/ML initiatives and data-driven transformation, required
- Ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable delivery plans, required
- Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams, required
- Familiarity with utilities, energy, or regulated industries, preferred
