Con Edison's technology portfolio continues to grow in size, complexity and strategic importance. Strong project financial controls, portfolio governance and PMO standards are critical to ensuring investments deliver value and align with corporate priorities.Under the supervision of PMO leadership, this role supports the Portfolio Management Office by performing financial analysis, budget tracking and portfolio reporting for technology initiatives. The EP Finance Associate assists with monitoring project budgets, forecasts, actuals and variances while ensuring compliance with PMO financial standards, governance requirements and internal policies.This role is responsible for maintaining project financial data, reviewing funding and cost documentation, preparing reports and dashboards for PMO leadership, and supporting portfolio level financial reviews. The associate works closely with project managers, QA staff, Contract Managers, and Finance partners to promote transparency, consistency and strong financial discipline across the project portfolio.This position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements, reporting standardization and the use of automation and analytical tools to strengthen PMO financial oversight.Through collaboration with the ETS Portfolio Management Office, this role offers exposure to project financial management, portfolio governance and performance metrics. Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Track and maintain project budgets, forecasts and actuals across the technology portfolio
  • Partner with project managers and QA staff to validate financials and explain variances
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and briefings for PMO leadership and senior management
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio reviews
  • Help enforce PMO financial standards and governance requirements
  • Work with Contract Managers and Finance partners to understand vendor spending and contract structures
  • Identify ways to improve cost tracking, reporting and financial transparency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts using tools like Excel, Power BI, SharePoint and automation solutions

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience. Recent college graduates must have one (1) year of work experience (full-time and/or internships); OR, six (6) months experience considered if participated in the company's CO-OP or summer CO-OP internships.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus and one (1) year if full time experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly, required.
  • Ability to identify and articulate risks, gaps and areas for improvement, required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply standards, guidelines and processes, required.
  • Collaborative, curious and innovative mindset, required.
  • Comfortable engaging with different stakeholder groups and presenting to leadership, required.
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI or similar visualization tools, preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Query and financial modeling, preferred.
  • Understanding of capital vs.O&M budgeting and project financial tracking, preferred.
  • Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint, or workflow automation tools, preferred.
  • Basic SQL or scripting experience for data extraction and analysis, preferred.
  • Exposure to PMO governance, stage-gate processes, or portfolio reviews, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
