Job Description:

The Commercial Director, Construction serves as the senior leader responsible for architecting and executing the North American Construction Segment's strategy. This role carries full accountability for regional revenue performance, sales mix optimization, and contribution margin delivery across an ~$850M Polyurethanes and Polyol portfolio, with a mandate to consistently achieve 15%+ EBITDA performance through the business cycle.

Acting as a strategic steward of the business, the Commercial Director ensures the segment's commercial roadmap is fully aligned with the broader Americas business strategy and directly informed by segments specific marketing intelligence and longrange plans.

The role provides executive leadership to the regional key accounts and, in close partnership with the Commercial Consumer Director drives highimpact, enterpriselevel customer engagement. This includes building, sustaining, and expanding seniorlevel and Csuite relationships across major accounts, championing Huntsman's culture and ethics, and ensuring the delivery of profitable, sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop a HighPerformance Commercial Organization
    Provide executive leadership to Key Account Managers (3), and Senior Account Managers (2), build worldclass commercial talent, and cultivate a culture of high performance, accountability, ethics, and continuous development.

  • Own Full Commercial Performance Across the Construction Segment
    Drive delivery against budget and strategic targets-volume, revenue, price, margin, mix, fixed cost, and cash performance-while expanding value, optimizing share of wallet, and strengthening profitability through Sales & Pricing Excellence.

  • Shape and Execute CustomerCentric Strategies at the Senior and CSuite Levels
    Build and leverage influential executive relationships, deepen customer intimacy, align strategic priorities, and create environments for discovery, project scoping, and longterm partnership growth.

  • Champion Commercial Excellence and Strategic Enablement
    Set the vision for advanced sales tools, collaborate on new capability development, and ensure adoption of Commercial Excellence solutions that enhance decisionquality, market intelligence, and enterpriselevel customer engagement.

  • Drive CrossFunctional Leadership and Enterprise Alignment
    Operate as a key member of the Americas Leadership Team, partnering with Supply Chain, Credit, Marketing, Technology, and Operations to ensure integrated execution, strengthen the Voice of the Customer, and advance enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

Education required

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Science/Business, preferably with experiences in Plastics, Polymers or Chemicals

Experience required

  • Minimum 5 years of Leadership Team experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of Key Account Management Leadership.

  • Minimum5 years of experience in a Chemical/Polyurethane industry.

  • Experience leading and managing within Customer C-suite level.

  • Commodity chemicals sales leadership a must

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strategic thinking with a strong commercial and financial acumen.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions in a complex, matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree (MBA, Master's, or PhD) in Business or Marketing.

  • Experience in the construction market a plus

Working Environment

  • Office-based role with regular interaction across cross-functional and regional teams.

  • Periodic domestic travel to customer sites and internal meetings as required.
