Overview

We are currently seeking the Restoration Practice Leader to head our Buildings Restoration Group. This individual would work in our Miami, FL office.

WGI is seeking an experienced and visionary Restoration Practice Leader to lead our growing Buildings Restoration practice. This practice leadership role is responsible for the technical direction, operational excellence, technical quality, and business development efforts of our restoration service line. The Practice Leader will guide a specialized team of restoration engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary project managers, and advance our restoration capabilities, strengthen client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of complex rehabilitation and repair projects across a diverse portfolio of parking structures and building assets. This leader will collaborate closely with the Parking, Structures, and Building divisions to support WGI's commitment to delivering innovative, durable, and sustainable restoration solutions.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

    Implement and align the restoration practice strategy with the broader Buildings division vision and growth plan.
  • Develop and implement business plans, service offerings, and market positioning to expand WGI's restoration footprint.
  • Provide mentorship, technical oversight, and professional development guidance to engineering and project management staff.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new restoration opportunities across parking structures, buildings, and other infrastructure assets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead pursuit strategies, develop proposals, and participate in interviews.
  • Represent WGI at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations.

Technical Excellence:

  • Serve as subject-matter expert for structural restoration, repair design, forensic investigation, material assessment, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Oversee and review technical work products including assessments, reports, repair drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure adherence to WGI standards, industry best practices, and applicable codes.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex forensic investigations, corrosion mitigation studies, and structural repair programs.

Project Management:

  • Oversee project delivery, workload balance, resource allocation, QA/QC, and schedule performance across restoration projects.
  • Manage budgets, profitability, utilization, and operational efficiency of the restoration team.
  • Manage project revenue recognition, invoicing, and accounts receivable communications.
  • Support proposal development, scope definition, fee development, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered with high quality and outstanding client satisfaction.
  • Confirm client's expectations are satisfied and our commitments are met.
  • Review and monitor project budgetsand schedules


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and/or Architecture (Master of Science Degree preferred, PE or SE registration required)
  • 20+ years of experience in structural restoration, parking structure rehabilitation, forensic engineering, or related disciplines.
  • State Registration: Licensed professional in Engineering or Architecture
  • Special Requirements: Expertise in structural diagnostics, materials science, concrete repair, PT repair, waterproofing systems, corrosion mitigation, and facade restoration. Strong business acumen with experience in financial management and business development.
