RSM's Management Consulting CIO Advisory practice provides strategy and advisory services to help clients improve the overall effectiveness of their Technology & Digital functions.

We are seeking a CIO Advisory Senior Associate to join our team! In this role, you will support client engagements across a range of industries while gaining handson experience working directly with client stakeholders and senior members of the engagement team. You will contribute significantly to project delivery, support assessments, and help develop insights and recommendations, all within a collaborative and developmentfocused team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in their digital transformation initiatives, including digital strategy development, assessments, and roadmap activities
  • Assist with evaluating IT organizations, processes, and capabilities to identify opportunities for optimization
  • Conduct technology and process assessments, gather data, and analyze findings to support project deliverables
  • Document business processes, requirements, pain points, and improvement opportunities
  • Support the creation of client-ready materials such as reports, presentations, and recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with engagement managers, directors, and client stakeholders to execute project tasks
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to capture requirements and insights
  • Perform user acceptance testing and support technology implementation activities
  • Contribute to the development of target operating models and process improvement recommendations
  • Assist with research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices
  • Continuously learn and build familiarity with RSM's service offerings to enhance client value
  • Participate in project planning activities and help track progress against milestones
  • Maintain well-organized documentation and strong communication across cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in technology consulting, digital transformation, process analysis, IT operations, or related fields
  • Working knowledge of ERP, CRM, CPM, or other enterprise platforms
  • Exposure to technology implementations, SaaS/cloud migrations, or digital enablement initiatives
  • Understanding of IT application lifecycle concepts and general IT controls
  • Experience supporting technology/process assessments or operating model discussions
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation capabilities
  • Strong organization, time management, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word; basic familiarity with databases such as SQL or Access is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% throughout North America
  • Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and client personnel at various levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, or other relevant credentials
  • Exposure to private equity or M&A environments
  • Experience working in industries such as Industrials, Government, Business & Professional Services, Real Estate, TMT, Consumer Products, or Life Sciences
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts

    At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

    Compensation Range: $88,900 - $168,300

    Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
