Business Analyst- Central NJ Technology Systems

Business Analyst needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Central NJ.



SOC is seeking an Business Analyst who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients headquartered in the New Jersey area.



Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements using interviews, workshops, and user stories.
• Analyze and map Business processes to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design technology solutions aligned with business goals.
• Work with cross functional teams on time sensitive Energy data analysis that help summarize the business's goals, initiatives, customer performance, etc.
• Ensure solution alignment with different stakeholders
• Contribute to project success by participating in testing and validation activities.
• Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 4+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in the Energy & Utilities industry.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to turn complex raw data into a useful summary
• Experience with Data Analytics, SQL, MS Access, PowerBI
• Proficiency with business analysis techniques and tools such as UML or BPMN.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
