Internship - Business Intelligence and Machine Learning (ML)

Introduction

As a Business Intelligence & Machine Learning Intern, you will support the BI&A team in collecting, analyzing, and transforming ASML data into actionable business insights. You will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize planning operations and drive innovation across the organization.

Job Description

Key initiatives and responsibilities include:

• Develop, document, and deploy machine learning models (regression, classification, clustering, optimization, etc.) to solve real-world business problems.
• Explore, discover, and import data from multiple sources, ensuring data is machine learning ready.
• Analyze, validate, and interpret results, creating clear reports and compelling data visualizations.
• Contribute to the design and development of end-to-end data pipelines and analytics tools.
• Collaborate on the implementation of company and department projects, providing technical expertise in machine learning and data science.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including upper management.

Education and Experience

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Data Science, Software Development, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Desired technical skills, knowledge and abilities:

• Proficiency in machine learning techniques and understanding of their mathematical foundations.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with deep neural networks and architectures (CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, TFLite, and PyTorch.
• Demonstrated ability to develop machine learning solutions for real-world applications.
• Experience with dashboard creation or data visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $18.00 - $56.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
