Power Inverter Module Innovation Leader

The Power Inverter Module Innovation Leader will be responsible for the activities related to Power Electronics components (i.e., inverters, converters, and charging devices) designs and development. This position requires the candidate to be a subject matter expert on related power electronics topic, and follow corporate Technology Readiness Level (TRL) process, ensure and document aligned requirements, make assessment on the technology; it also entails working with Stellantis (STLA) internal production team, Program Management Organization (POM) team, advanced purchasing team, cost engineering team, power electronics suppliers, and testing labs to ensure requirements and specifications are followed, as well as industry best practice design features and processes, are implemented. This position requires design experience, understanding of component hardware circuitry and failure modes, and understanding of the manufacturing process.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation outlining best practices supporting STLA's internal continuous improvement initiatives and the development of product technology roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Systems /Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in high voltage/high power/electric vehicle environments, Power electronics/electrical models, and simulation experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of Power Inverter/Traction Inverter development experience
  • Demonstrable familiarity with power electronics and devices
  • Understand engineering protocols, design specifications, and standards
  • Understand component HW circuitry and failure modes
  • Good technical knowledge in applications engineering and product design/development (specifically within an automotive context)
  • Good working level knowledge of DVP&R and DFMEA
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills and methodology
  • Familiar with Power Electronics analysis and simulation tools
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to interface professionally with key customers, cross-functional teams, and all levels of personnel/management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to manage multiple responsibilities, one's own time, while being mindful of deadlines
  • Must be task-oriented, detail-oriented, and accurate with work


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree or Ph. D. of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Power electronics specifications expertise in Electric motor and powertrain controls experience
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and fabrication experience
  • Semiconductor manufacturing knowledge
