We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate individual to step into a pivotal role, driving the quality assurance process for groundbreaking new hardware. You will be instrumental in building software for a revolutionary device that integrates seamlessly with an advanced digital ecosystem, featuring intelligent assistant capabilities. Your expertise will directly influence the performance, stability, and user experience of these next-generation products, playing a critical part in their successful development and launch.

Key Responsibilities and Impact

As a core member of the team, you will contribute significantly across quality assurance, release management, and hardware operations, ensuring the seamless development and deployment of innovative devices.

Quality Assurance Leadership (Approx 70% of time)



  • Design and document comprehensive test plans based on detailed requirements and specifications.
  • Execute rigorous test plans and test cases directly on prototype hardware.
  • Conduct thorough functional, regression, and acceptance testing to identify issues.
  • Log, track, and validate defect resolutions using industry-standard tools for defect management.
  • Perform retesting and regression of resolved issues to confirm fixes.
  • Reproduce reported bugs and gather essential log data to support issue analysis.
  • Efficiently identify and consolidate duplicate bug reports.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential quality risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress and results to project teams.


Release Management Coordination (Approx 20% of time)



  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Leads to plan, coordinate, and verify software releases across various environments.
  • Maintain and manage release notes and associated documentation.
  • Track and manage multiple concurrent development branches and their corresponding builds.
  • Execute software release publishing steps for different distribution rings.
  • Coordinate deployments, conduct post-release validation, and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Communicate release status, potential risks, and approval updates to all stakeholders.


Hardware Operations & Maintenance (Approx 10% of time)



  • Install and configure software builds on prototype devices.
  • Perform initial smoke testing using the latest builds to ensure devices are fully functional.
  • Maintain accurate records of devices, including serial numbers and administrative details.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • 3+ years of manual QA experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with software release management.
  • 2+ years of collaborating with Senior Software Engineering leadership on QA.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in Quality Assurance (QA), QA testing, QA leadership, technical project coordination, or software engineering.
  • Proven ability to formulate, document, and execute detailed test plans.
  • Experience with functional, regression, and acceptance testing.
  • Proficiency in logging, tracking, and validating defect resolution using defect management tools.
  • Experience reproducing bugs and gathering log data.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a secure lab environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering partners.
  • A strong technical foundation relevant to hardware and software integration.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications



  • Familiarity with proprietary testing tools, device bring-up workflows, or internal validation processes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple test cycles, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly to shifting program needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize test outcomes and provide actionable feedback.
  • Experience supporting roles with multi-round interview processes or working directly with technical stakeholders.
