Job Description

As Allstate accelerates its adoption of AI, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced machine learning, the need for robust, embedded governance has never been greater. As the AI Governance Lead Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in designing how AI is responsibly developed and deployed across the enterprise.

This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of governance, risk and compliance theory and concepts, including how governance programs are structured in ways that are efficient, streamlined, and well-integrated. This includes how the program is reported to key stakeholders and Leadership, as well as operationalized for regulatory compliance. You'll work directly with partners in technology, engineering, data science, and risk to ensure the end-to-end governance process is streamlined and efficient, and report on the AI governance program to Leadership. AI governance must both meet key governance, risk and compliance objectives and be as streamlined and efficient as possible for our AI developer stakeholders.

You will be part of a team that is reimagining risk management for the AI era, building new and more-efficient frameworks, automating oversight, and ensuring that innovation is enabled by safe and secure platforms. This role supports the broader Responsible AI and Governance Team in Enterprise Risk & Return Management.

Your primary responsibility will bedesigning and improving the end-to-end AI governance process to promote holistic efficiency and effectiveness, andprovide transparencyto key stakeholders on the AI governance program:

  • AI Governance leadership reporting:Develop and communicatetoSenior Leadership on relevant AI governance topics,to providetransparency on AI risk and governance, andfacilitatealignment and collaboration across supporting teams.
  • Regulatory compliance partnership:Partner with regulatory compliance to ensure that AI governance requirements are integrated into the AI governanceprogram, orembedded as part of other risk management and governance programs to meet all requirements.
  • External AI governance requests:Oversee the coordination and collection of information, in partnership with Law & Regulation, for external information requests, such as AI governance Market Conduct Exams.
  • End-to-end process improvementand simplification:Perform continuous improvement over the end-to-end AI governance and risk management lifecycle, to ensure that risk and governanceobjectivesare met in the most streamlined,efficientand coordinated manner possible.
  • Coordination,collaborationand partnership:Work closely with other risk functions to ensure AI governance processes are well-aligned to other technology and risk and return programs, such as Data, Model, Third Party, Security, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience ingovernance,riskor compliance roles.Preferably experience insupporting and improvinggovernance or oversight programs.

Functional Skills:

  • Strong understanding ofgovernance,riskand compliance concepts, including risk, controls, inventories, and howgovernance is communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work across functional teams to drive alignment,consensusand collaboration towards the highest-priority areas.
  • Experience withbuilding or improving a governance or oversight program, including the foundational components to make the programmost efficient and streamlined.
  • Ability to translate technical risk into business impact and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and leadership in fast-evolving environments.
  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and driving consensus.
  • Passion for learning and staying ahead of AI trends, tooling, and regulatory developments.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 98,100.00 - 167,850.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
