As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and/or support badges, and monitor on-site activity. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related issues, document incidents using computer-based tools, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances, gates, and/or guard shacks by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing traffic flow to appropriate dock or check-in locations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and communicate observations to site leadership per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, documenting events, and coordinating with on-site teams and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, dock doors, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter theft, trespass, and/or damage; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Loss Prevention - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
