As a Security Officer - Armed Branch Rover in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a financial institution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or concerns, and communicate clearly with staff, clients, and visitors. This role values customer service, calm decision-making, and detailed reporting, backed by a caring culture that puts people first, teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to branch staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial center, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access points as assigned, respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Control entry and visitor processing in accordance with site requirements, including checking identification, directing guests, and documenting access and security-related events.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and assist with security-related escorts of personnel and/or high-value items as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
