Position Title: Student Employee, Center for Multicultural Access & Success
Job Description: The CMAS Student Employee position will support the Center for Multicultural Access and Success department with reception coverage, appointment scheduling, answering phones, assisting students, event planning, flyer creation, social media maintenance, filing and recurring special projects as needed.
POSITION TITLE: Student Employee, CMAS STATUS: Part time DEPARTMENT: Center for Multicultural Access and Success DIVISION: Student Development REPORTS TO: CMAS Administrative Assistants CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt HIRING RANGE: $15.00 per hour (Position is FWS Eligible)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide administrative support to the CMAS staff and provide frontline coverage for the Center. 2. Support the frontline staff with scheduling student appointments, answering phones, directing students, and assisting new and continuing students with navigating student platforms. 2. Assist with special projects as assigned such as support at marquee events and workshops, the creation of flyers and other promotional pieces for CMAS programs, enter and compile student data and assist in the collection of student sign-in sheets during CMAS Programs. 4. Welcome visitors to the department and direct requests for assistance to the appropriate staff. 5. Represent CMAS department in a friendly and professional manner. 6. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Maintain cumulative GPA of 2.0. 2. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. 3. Excellent customer service skills and professionalism. 4. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 5. Must be able to work in a confidential setting with the ability to keep information confidential. 6. Data entry skills with special attention to detail. 7. Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) program skills (Familiarity with Workday a plus). 8. Ability to operate office equipment (printer, copy/fax machine, scanner). 9. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

1. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency. 2. Demonstrated multicultural competence

HOURS/LOCATION Approximately 20 hours per week; flexible between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. On-campus work assignment (main campus).
