Summary:

The Intern is responsible for HSE functions needed to fulfill the HSE Business plan model for the site. The individual is also responsible for updating work instructions and uploading risk assessments per directive as well as completing various administrative tasks related to the QMS.

Responsibilities:



  • Updating training records
  • Uploading documents to specific location, using Voith's internal database
  • Update work instructions, JSAs, and quality procedures
  • Track process improvements and corrective actions
  • Coordinate Safety activities related to HSE Business plan models & schedules with Staff support
  • Develop spreadsheets and forms
  • Assisting with safety and quality related projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Requirements:



  • Preferred college student in a safety/ quality related field
  • Junior or Senior in high school in a work study program considered
  • Proficient in the use of computers utilizing Windows programs as well as the ability to learn and use JDE, internal operating system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate independent of daily direction



Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. At times, some lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and balancing is necessary.
