Acute Care TechnologyApplies standard engineering techniques (Good Design Practices) and procedures to the design, development, and enhancement of new and currently marketed medical devices, including external defibrillators, external pacemakers, and monitors. Designs, tests, and documents new circuitry as well as modifies existing circuitry in systems and subsystems, including those related to analog, digital, power supply, isolation, and high voltage functionality. Works closely with other electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to design, develop, and support complete systems and subsystems. Works with outside vendors and contractors as required to accomplish tasks. Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance groups as required to debug or improve existing designs.

Essential Functions:
*Design and development activities
*Documentation associated with engineering activities
*Debug testing, or qualification of designs
*Other projects related to engineering activities

Skill Requirements:
*Computer tools proficiency
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Positive attitude and affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative and self sufficiency
*Analytical and troubleshooting skills
*Ability to work with minimal oversight, i.e. "self-motivated."
*A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of job related skills.

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:
*BSEE degree or equivalent
*3+ years of electrical engineering and product design experience
*Experience in medical or other highly regulated industry is strongly desired
*Experience with electrical engineering test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.

The hourly pay rate for this position is:

$90.00 to $115.00
