Responsibilities

  • Supports anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures.
  • Prepares and sets up anesthesia machines, monitors, IVs, airway equipment, and carts before procedures
  • Cleans, disinfects, and restocks anesthesia carts and work areas
  • Assists anesthesia providers with induction and emergence phases
  • Transports equipment and supplies between locations as needed
  • Monitors inventory of anesthesia supplies and requests restocking
  • Performs daily machine checks and logs maintenance tasks
  • Responds promptly to operating room requests
  • Disposes of used equipment and waste per infection control standards
  • Assists with patient transport and positioning as directed
  • Adheres to safety protocols and sterile technique

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T. or Cer.A.T.T.).

  • Completion of the Anesthesia Technician training program.

  • One year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting
