Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Woodstock, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe production and warehouse activity, document unusual conditions, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers; manage visitor check-in, directions, and call-ups per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and facility process interruptions; notify onsite leadership and public responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, document gate activity and key events, and communicate hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possessing a Guard Card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
