Job Description




As a Security Officer - Airfield Patrol Driver in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a driving, unarmed patrol officer at an aero and defense location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to calls for service. You will document observations in clear reports and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors, living Allied Universal values of integrity, teamwork, agility, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to an aero and defense location by verifying identification, processing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges as required by site procedures, and directing guests to approved areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, access control notifications, and surveillance systems as assigned, and report irregular conditions according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and medical response notifications when directed by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover.
  • Assist with control of deliveries and service providers by confirming authorization, directing vehicles to designated areas, and documenting arrivals and departures per site requirements.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives to follow escalation protocols for access issues, property concerns, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
