Job Description




As a Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with site staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution setting.
  • Monitor access control points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, and drivers, helping to manage entry and exit for warehouse and yard areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including docks, trailer rows, parking lots, and perimeter fencing, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation, notifications, and coordination with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with dispatch and site contacts while supporting loss prevention and operational continuity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
