As an Access Control Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and direct employees, contractors, and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and document activity using site systems. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor logs, and coordinating approvals for deliveries, contractors, and scheduled appointments.
• Screen vehicles, packages, and materials in accordance with site procedures, document findings, and report irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuations and/or shelter-in-place directions, and completing required incident documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter and access points, monitor alarms and/or cameras as assigned, and report maintenance or security-related concerns through established channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
