General Description of the skill: This job consists of inspecting yarn, handling yarn packages up to 20lbs, ensuring correct thread up of machine, fixing yarn break outs, and labeling

The Twisting operator is responsible for the items below:

Obtain daily work assignment upon arrival

Load necessary yarn onto pintrucks

Obtain correct color plastic tubes

Transport yarn to assigned machines

Doff Verdol twisters

Doff Volkmann twisters

Doff ICBT twisters

Creel cable twisters

Repair yarn breaks on Verdol twisters

Repair yarn breaks on Volkmann twisters

Repair yarn breaks on ICBT twisters

Backwinding singles/reworks packages

Lot change work on ICBT twisters

Lot change work on Verdol twisters

Lot change work on Volkmann twisters

Weighing up doffed yarn

Perform Job Risk Assessment

Prepare doff sheets

Perform patrol cycles

Complete operator effectiveness audit

Perform assignment leader duties

Perform other job duties as requested by your immediate manager. Operator must fill out JSA when necessary
