Aquent is thrilled to partner with a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering individuals through education. Our client is looking for a skilled professional to provide ongoing support for their WordPress-based website.



  • Title: Webmaster (WordPress)
  • Location: Remote (must reside in the US in Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones)
  • Hours: part-time, ~15 hours per week
  • Duration: 6 months, with the potential to extend indefinitely


**About the Role**

We are seeking a talented professional to strategically manage and optimize a key digital platform. This isn't just about maintenance; it's about being the technical architect and performance guru behind a critical online presence. You'll be diving deep into the technical health, performance, and strategic optimization of the platform, moving beyond basic upkeep to drive significant improvements and user engagement. Your expertise will directly enhance the reach and effectiveness of the organization's mission, making a real difference in how they connect with and serve their community.

**What You'll Do**

* Conduct comprehensive technical audits to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience.

* Proactively monitor page load speeds and backend functionalities to maintain optimal site health.

* Manage and update the core files, themes, and plugins of the content management system, expertly navigating and resolving potential conflicts.

* Implement custom code solutions and clean CSS to reduce reliance on heavy plugins, significantly improving site efficiency and performance.

* Optimize site structure, meta tags, page titles, and URL structures to enhance search engine visibility and positioning.

* Develop new, impactful landing pages and update the homepage based on provided mock-ups and designs, ensuring full mobile responsiveness and an exceptional user experience.

* Handle routine updates, activate event-specific pop-ups, manage redirects, and consistently post new content.

**What You'll Bring**

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Expert-level knowledge of WordPress

* Strong proficiency with Elementor - the existing website is built and edited in this platform

* Custom CSS/Development: Ability to write custom code to replace unnecessaryplugins.

* Experience utilizing SEO tools and analytics to monitor search engine positioning and site traffic.

* Proficiency with advanced custom fields and custom post types.

The ideal candidate must be available to respond to urgent, off-hours site maintenance requests when needed.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Hubspot experience is a plus
